Interview with the recruitment specialist of an automotive supplier in Germany:
Mrs. xxx, you work in the personnel department with your current employer and have started using our services in 2005. How do you rate the service CONusio provides?
CONusio provides us with the best candidates and this within a short space of time even though we usually have very specific requirements as automotive industry. Just to give you a recent example: we were looking for a Head of Quality Management and within two weeks we had a candidate who was subsequently hired. I must say she is absolutely top class! CONusio had already in close cooperation with us conducted a very good pre-selection. What I really did appreciate was how simple the lines of communication were and that the whole process was carried out swiftly and without any hiccups. We had a few phone conversations and CONusio immediately came up with a job profile with just a little input from us. Shortly afterwards they recommended several highly qualified candidates from which we were able to choose. The service meets all requirements that you would want and hope for. Even in the few instances where problems and queries came up the whole communication and handling has been highly professional.
How many times and for what areas have you made use of CONusio`s service?
We have employed their services in filling positions in numerous departments, such as logistics, purchasing, marketing, personnel or sales, and even our Managing Director was recruited with the help of CONusio. Basically, we cooperate with them in all areas and troughout all levels within the company hierarchy. Last year alone we recruited 10 candidates through CONusio and I believe that clearly shows the successful cooperation we have.
What distinguishes CONusio from other Human Resource Consultancies?
When I reflect on my dealings with different consultants now, I regret to say I do have a lot of bad memories. They were only interested in making money and they paid little attention to the candidates or their clients. CONusio has a totally different approach. In addition to this they are very analytical and structured and at the same avoid being too bureaucratic and difficult to deal with. I can very easily contact them when I am confronted with a filling a vacancy and in really urgent cases I have received a profile within two to three hours, sometimes even at very late hours. The only problems that we often face are the extremely long terms of notice with some candidates. It may only take four to six weeks until we can start interviewing candidates, but the time until they can finally start their work for us....well that is a completely different issue!
Besides reliability, swiftness and professionalism - which one should expect anyway - what really sets CONusio apart from the competitors?
I would like to call it „People Management“, which is the ability to assess individuals and determine their strengths and weaknesses in their present individual situations. In my opinion CONusio ist the absolute best where "People Management" is concerned. And this applies both ways, to candidates and clients. The most important qualifications are excellent communications skills and the ability to really reach individuals. Even candidates with excellent references and qualifications might just not fit into the company or the team and so maybe they'd be better off working for Lufthansa or Siemens? This is a human resource consultancy's primary task and they must therefore have a clear idea of who they are dealing with in terms of what the company is all about and what the management structure is, assessing if a candidate will be able to fit in, this ability to mediate between employer and applicant. Another aspect of People Management are those finer points or nuances such as a call at the end of the first day at work to see how everything went or to come by and check on the candidate to see whether the job has turned out according to the expectations. This additional support provided to the candidate and the client may sound quite straightforward and simple, but very few in the busines actually have this sensibility.Finally a popular HR question: What are the three main strengths of CONusio?
Uncomplicated communication, direct lines, swift response time and top quality. Those were actually four.
